In view of the corona virus threat and in order to keep our patients safe, please be informed that we will be changing our working patterns in the coming weeks.

The NHS England guidelines that have been put in place advise us to cancel all appointments for patients.

The practice will now be operating a telephone triage system only to give advice.

You and Your Dentist

Ms Naomi Fry BDS (Birm 1992)Your initial visit to The Melbourne Dental Practice is very important to us. It gives us the opportunity to get to know each other and determine what you hope to accomplish with your treatment and smile. During this visit the dentist will answer any questions that you may have, such as the type of treatment needed, when it should start, and the estimated treatment time. A tailor made treatment plan will be given to you outlining dental treatment options and associated fees.

By the end of this visit we hope that you will have a full understanding of your treatment. Please feel free to ask any questions if you are unsure on any aspect.

At the Melbourne Dental Practice we will promise to

  • Welcome you into a caring and professional environment
  • Listen to your dental concerns and wishes
  • Explain in clear, and hopefully, jargon free language your treatment needs and options
  • Provide a written estimate of costs before treatment begins. If this should alter as treatment progresses we will update the estimate.
  • Keep you informed of the latest techniques and use the best materials available

We employ a strict cross-infection control policy, which protects both patients and staff. Sterilization procedures are rigorously adhered to and monitored continuously making the dental environment truly safe.

In return we ask you to...

  • Help our practice grow by recommending family, friends and colleagues
  • Pay for your treatment as requested
  • Let us know what we could do better
  • Look after the work we have done for you with the techniques we will show you and attend recommended check ups.

Help us use the surgery time effectively by...

  • Keeping your appointment you have made with us.
  • Giving at least 48 hours notice for any appointments you cannot make (a fee maybe incurred if less time is given)

This will keep the time between appointments to a minimum and our fees competitive.

Patients can arrange an appointment by telephone, or by calling into the practice personally. You will be informed with which dentist the appointment has been scheduled. Any requests for a particular dentist will be accommodated as far as possible.
